Special TET 2026: Syllabus Of Paper 1 & Paper 2

 

Here is the syllabus of the Special TET 2026: 

PAPER-1 (for class 1 to 5)

(Paper-1is the for who wants to become teacher for class 1 to 5 i.e Primary Level)


1. Child Development and Pedagogy 

  • Number of Questions: 30 MCQ
  • Marks: 30 Marks
2. Language 1 - Bodo, Garo, Manipuri and Hmar (compulsory-any one)

  • Number of Questions: 30 MCQ
  • Marks: 30 Marks
3. Language 2 - English (Compulsory) 
  • Number of Questions: 30 MCQ
  • Marks: 30 Marks
4. Mathematics (Compulsory) 
  • Number of Questions: 30 MCQ
  • Marks: 30 Marks
5. Environmental Studies (Compulsory) 
  • Number of Questions: 30 MCQ
  • Marks: 30 Marks
Note: Each question will be MCQ type and carry 1 mark. Total mark will be 150. 

PAPER-2 (for class 6 to 8)

(Paper-2 is the for who wants to become teacher for class 6 to 8 i.e Upper Primary Level)


1. Child Development and Pedagogy 

  • Number of Questions: 30 MCQ
  • Marks: 30 Marks
2. Language 1 - Bodo, Garo, Manipuri and Hmar (compulsory-any one)

  • Number of Questions: 30 MCQ
  • Marks: 30 Marks
3. Language 2 - English (Compulsory) 
  • Number of Questions: 30 MCQ
  • Marks: 30 Marks
4. For Mathematics and Science Teacher: Mathematics & Science 
  • Number of Questions: 60 MCQ
  • Marks: 60 Marks
OR

5. For Social Science (Studies) Teacher: Social Science (Studies)

  • Number of Questions: 60 MCQ
  • Marks: 60 Marks

6. For any other subject either number (4) or (5)

Note: Each question will be MCQ type and carry 1 mark. Total mark will be 150. 
  • The duration of the examination will be 2.5 Hrs (150 Minutes) for Paper-1 and Paper-2 both. 
  • There shall be No Negative Marking. 
  • Medium of question paper:

    Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, English


Minimum Marks for qualifying in Special Assam TET- 2026:

The candidates has to score 60% i.e. 90 marks out of 150 marks in total.

And also has to score minimum 60% i.e. 18 marks out of 30 marks in Language-1 section of Paper I (LP Level) and Paper II (UP Level), as applicable, to qualify the Special Assam Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET).


However, for SC/ST (Hills)/ST (Plain)/OBC/MOBC/PWD (PH), there will be relaxation of 5% in total and 10% relaxation in Language-1 section. 


Thus, for these candidates, qualifying marks will be 83 marks out of 150 marks i.e. 55% in total and 15 marks out of 30 marks i.e. 50% in Language-1section.
